The airline based in Kyiv was founded in 2009 as a subsidiary of the Russian UTair. The striking difference to the Russian mother was the attractive tail design, which was based on traditional Ukrainian embroidery. In 2015, the airline was sold and renamed Azur Air Ukraine, the domestic scheduled routes were discontinued and the focus was on charter flights.
