Fresh from the assembly shop, this third pre-production aircraft received a temporary civilian ID and a Swiss crew and was lent to the International Red Cross for humanitarian relief flights into the bloody civil war devastated Biafra region of Nigeria. In total, the machine flew 198 missions in four months, before returning to Germany in the spring of 1969.
