Die-cast model

The first of three 747-100s were delivered already in 1970. But it was only with the arrival of the more capable 747-200 one year later that started the success story of the Jumbo Jet at Lufthansa. In 1971 – 50 years ago - the aircraft named after the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg was the first of no less than 21 aircraft of the -200 series that operated in passenger operations with the German airline. This special edition of the “Queen of the Skies” sports several extraordinary features, such as individually inserted landing lights or landing gear held by magnets which can be removed to emphasize the elegance of the jumbo jet when in flight. A sturdy metal display stand is included to give the die-cast metal model more than sufficient support. This Die-cast metal airplane model comes in 1/200 scale with landing gear and plastic stand. Model is approximately 14 inches long with 11 3/4 inch wingspan.
