Model is approximately 4 ¾ inches long with 5 5/8 inch wingspan.

In order to get better regional connections from the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao, entrepreneurs from the Netherlands Antilles created the island of Air in 1993, which served routes to the neighboring Dutch islands of Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten. In 2019 she had to stop operations for financial reasons. Between 2011 and 2018, the Insel Air fleet included eight Fokker 50s.
