Founded immediately after the Second World War, TAP was given the task of establishing connections with the then or former colonies of Portugal, for example with Angola, Mozambique or Brazil. The DC-3s that were initially used could either not cover these enormous distances at all or only with many stopovers and a travel time of several days. From 1947, four C-54 transporters, converted to civilian DC-4s, were used by the US armed forces to remedy the situation. CS-TSD is released in 1:200 scale in the original blue livery.
